  • Share Generator Bolt to Upper Bracket, Reuse Bolt + Torque Remove serpentine belt, support upper bracket, remove 1× M8 bolt shared with alt/gen bracket (no separate stud on most M54), slide old pulley off shoulder, clean shaft, seat new pulley aligning offset hole to bracket eccentric, reuse original class-10.9 bolt, torque 28 N·m (21 ft-lb), refit belt checking all grooves. Critical:​ this pulley has an offset (eccentric) bore​ — if your old pulley has a centered hole, you are looking at the tensioner-arm roller (different number), not this deflection pulley.
