Match old housing stamp before ordering—this is the WITH-HOUSING version (18-3382); impeller-only 18-3381 will not include the cup/housing.

  • 20-35HP 2-Stroke Only — NOT 9.9/15HP, NOT E-TEC, NOT V4/V6​ Critical:​ 393630 fits the 2-stroke 20-35HP crossflow/thru-prop​ lower unit. It does NOT​ fit 9.9/15HP (uses 397749 family), E-TEC 25/30/35HP (different pump body), or V4/V6 85-300HP. Verify your engine decal reads 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 HP 2-STROKE​ before ordering.
  • Fixes Weak Tell-Tale, Overheat Alarm & Milky Gear Lube​ Resolves weak tell-tale stream, sudden overheat buzzer, melted impeller chunks in the housing, and water seeping past the pump seal into gearcase (milky lube). New neoprene impeller, SS316 wear face, and fresh gaskets restore 2-4 GPM cooling flow. Grease the shaft lightly and clock vanes clockwise on install.
  • Lower-Unit Pull, 20-Minute Service​ Drop lower unit (4× 7/16" mid-section bolts + anode), unstack old housing/cup/plate/gaskets, seat woodruff key, drop impeller on shaft (vanes bend clockwise), stack new gaskets per diagram, torque housing bolts evenly, rehang lower unit, refill gear lube. Run on flushing muffs 3 min to confirm tell-tale before launch. Salt-use interval: every 2 years or 200 hrs.
